Staying hydrated when you are walking is super important especially when you are older. Injuries are common in seniors who neglect to drink enough water. I found this out several years ago when I suddenly fainted at a dinner party.
Now I carry a water bottle wherever I go, in my car, on walks, or anywhere outside of my house.
While browsing on Amazon, I found a Neoprene water bottle carrier by Nuovoware with a shoulder strap that I absolutely love! It not only holds my water bottle but has a zipped pocket for my smartphone, a hook for keys, and another pocket for credit cards or ID. I like that it’s lightweight, washable, and easy to carry.
I ordered mine in black, but it also comes in a multitude of gorgeous colors and patterns.

Being hands free is important for balance when you’re older
If you are walking and carrying a water bottle it can seriously affect your balance because one arm is being used to hold the bottle. The Nuovoware Water Bottle Carrier Bag lets me carry my water bottle so I always have both hands free to catch myself if I trip.
I have even taken my water bottle carrier to a party or two so I can wear it when I dance!
