Are Your Skincare Accessories Actually Clean? I Tried Clean Skin Club—Here’s What I Found

by Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski Leave a Comment

Clean Skin Club is known for providing single-use skincare accessories made from biodegradable materials that support clearer, healthier skin by eliminating bacteria-spreading fabrics like shared bath towels or cotton pads that fall apart. Their products are designed with both skin and Earth in mind, and some can be delivered via subscription to keep your routine consistent.

The company has gained popularity for offering not just effective skincare tools, but also eco-friendly alternatives to commonly used items that often go overlooked in daily routines.

I received five skincare accessory products to try out and review from Clean Skin Club, a brand focused on offering clean, dermatologist-tested, and eco-conscious skincare tools. The products included Clean Towels XL, Clean Swabs, Clean Wipes, Clean² Face Pads, and DermaDot Invisible Pimple Patches.

My Experience with Clean Skin Club

If using clean facial products is important to you, you’re going to love the Clean Skin Club. They provide products by subscription so that you can get them regularly, that are dermatologist-approved and super, super clean and biodegradable.

The clean towels came in an extra-large size. They’re nice and soft, and you can use them with your favorite facial products, such as your cleanser, oils, or whatever it is that you use facial cloths for. The company also provides gorgeous boxes that you can put these in.

The facial pads are nice and large. You can use them to take off your makeup or whatever it is that you need… like removing your fingernail polish.

Another thing I received were swabs. They’re also biodegradable clean products. So, don’t worry about irritation because they are made for sensitive skin.

The last thing I received were Dermadots. These are for pimples. They are adhesive invisible dots that you can put on your pimples, so no one can tell they are there.

The company sells other products too. Check out the company’s website to see what they have to offer, and possibly get a subscription.

Watch my video review.

Here’s a breakdown of the products:

Clean Towels XL

These are ultra-soft, fragrance-free, single-use clean towels designed to dry your face or remove makeup and cleanser. They’re made from USDA-certified bio-based fiber and come in a box of 50.

The towels are larger than standard face cloths and can be used wet or dry. Because they’re disposable, they minimize the risk of spreading bacteria — making them especially helpful for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin.

Clean Towels may reduce redness, dryness, and visible irritation over time. They’re also multi-functional and can be used beyond skincare — such as for cleaning tools, surfaces, and even travel use.

Clean Swabs

These biodegradable cotton swabs are dual-sided, featuring one pointed end and one rounded tip for precision.

Each swab uses a sturdy bamboo connector and tightly wound cotton that doesn’t shed. They’re ideal for makeup touch-ups, applying skincare products to targeted areas, or cleaning up eyeliner and nail polish mistakes.

The materials are good quality, and users sensitive to single-use plastics or fuzz-prone swabs may appreciate the upgraded design.

Clean Wipes

The Clean Wipes are oversized facial cleansing towelettes that feature one textured exfoliating side and one ultra-soft side for makeup removal. They’re made from biodegradable natural rayon and are formulated without alcohol, fragrance, parabens, or harmful chemicals.

These wipes are safe for sensitive skin and ophthalmologist-tested. They provide a faster cleanse while still being gentle and moisturizing. The size and moisture level make them highly efficient compared to standard wipes, and they’re convenient to keep in a gym or travel bag. Clean² Face Pads

These cotton-viscose blend face pads are extra thick and dual-sided for both exfoliation and gentle application. Unlike typical cotton rounds, they won’t shred, collapse, or leave behind fuzz. The textured side offers light exfoliation, while the smooth side works great with toners or micellar water.

Each pad is designed to be effective and gentle — even when wet — and one is generally enough for a full skincare round. The OEKO-TEX certified fabric is made without bleach, formaldehyde, or harsh chemicals.

DermaDot Invisible Pimple Patches

For a gentle way to manage breakouts, these vegan blemish patches are made with 100% hydrocolloid to help draw out impurities and protect problem areas. They’re ultra-thin, blend easily into the skin, and can be worn overnight or throughout the day.

The patches are best applied to “almost ready” blemishes and whiteheads. Once the debris is absorbed, the patch turns white, letting you know it’s ready to remove. These work without drying ingredients or acids, which is important for users with sensitive skin types.

Final thoughts about Clean Skin Club

Clean Skin Club offers a smart line of skincare tools for people who want their beauty routine to be both cleaner and gentler on the skin — without sacrificing practical function.

Each item comes in clean, minimal, and carefully designed packaging that’s suitable for gifting or for setting up a dedicated skincare station. If you’re trying to improve hygiene in your skincare routine or transition into more sustainable beauty practices, their accessories are a great place to start.
