UZO Stem Cell Serum Complex Review | Plant-Based Skincare

by Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski Leave a Comment

I’m a gluten for skincare serums so I was excited to try UZO Stem Cell Serum Complex. It’s cruelty-free, paraben-free, – sulfate-free,-phthalate-free, and is a vegan plant-based product made with purified botanical extracts.

It’s best to apply it to a damp face and only 1 or 2 pumps are needed.

UZO Stem Cell Serum is a high-end product with a faint natural aloe scent even though no fragrance has been added. It is packaged in a beautiful silver embossed bottle. The brand is made in the USA and based in Los Angeles.

Ingredients include Swiss Apple, Kiwi, Sweet pea, Squalene, Red Marine Algae, Olive Fruit, Shea Butter, and Aloe.

I found it to be lightweight and pleasant on my face.

About UZO

Uzo was most recently co-founder and Creative Director of UZO Beauty and has been in the beauty business for over 30 years. Before that, she obtained a dual degree in Medicine and Surgery. While taking her boards after working as a doctor for a few years, she took a break and began working at a Clinique counter in a department store.

She is a renowned Global Artistry Director for NARS Cosmetics and has trained and worked with Bobbie Brown and YSL Beauty. As a celebrity makeup artist, her clients have included Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones, and Kirsten Dunst.

Her work has been featured in Vogue, V Magazine, and Marie Claire.

My impression of UZO Stem Cell Serum Complex

I’m a no-fragrance girl but I was pleasantly pleased with the natural aloe scent I detected when I applied the serum. I love that it provides antioxidant protection as I live in Los Angeles where the environment can be brutal.

Because UZO Stem Cell Serum Complex is lightweight it makes an excellent primer for makeup, is hydrating, and goes on smoothly.

The brand claims it works with chemists, scientists, and botanists to develop its formulas. The purpose of stem cell technology is to slow down the aging process and boost collagen production.

The company launched in November of 2023 so it is relatively new. Testing of the product has not been published as far as I know, but I believe it is a worthy product to try.
