Are you a mushroom lover? I am, but I never thought of growing them at home until I was sent some “spray & grow” mushroom growing kits to try by North Spore. All I had to do was undo a perforation on the box, slice an X into the plastic bag, and squirt the soil with a mister twice a day.

All you do is Spray & Grow
One kit contains Blue Oyster Mushrooms and the other Pink Oyster Mushrooms. The instructions said that they could be grown inside or outside but that a humid environment makes it easier. It suggests they be placed near the kitchen sink or the bathroom.
I don’t have room to grow them inside as I share a small house with a roommate, so I put the boxes just outside our door under a covered patio. We live in Los Angeles, which isn’t very humid, but we had some rare rain, so it may have helped.
The process usually takes about 2 weeks. The pink oyster mushrooms started popping out first. The blue ones have yet to make an appearance but I will update this post when they do.
