If you are looking for clothing online, you’ll probably end up on Amazon. It is easy to shop on and no matter what you are looking for, there will be something comparable. Some brands on the site are better than others and may vary in sizing, shipping, or quality. The fashion brands featured below are distinctly Amazon brands rather than third parties.

Most of the items I’ve purchased on Amazon have been exactly what I wanted but I’ve also made my share of shopping mistakes. Choose wisely when you purchase from third-party brands as some items are shipped from unreliable sources or locations half a world away. It isn’t that easy to return a purchase if it came from China or Timbuktu.

The advantage of choosing Amazon fashion brands is that most are made and distributed in the United States. In general, you can be assured that the quality is much better.
Daily Ritual
Quality active basics that feature comfort are what Daily Ritual is all about whether you are looking for a chic sweater, a cool dress, a puffer jacket, loungewear, or other apparel items. Much of this line is made with regular and plus-sized cotton jerseys and is affordable. It is a reliable brand if you are looking for basic or embellished tee shirts in various styles and necklines.
Pretty Garden
I’ve had great luck with Pretty Garden, especially for dresses, but it offers a wide range of flattering clothing items that include pantsuits, coats, blouses, and much more.
The Drop
This shop on Amazon is curated by influencers in the fashion world. It is a little edgy and youthful but there are also items appropriate for older women of all sizes. Most are limited edition, available for 30 hours, so buy them up fast before they are gone. You can find essential pieces as well as trendy items.
Cable Stitch
Cable Stitch is where you will find sophisticated and fashionable sweaters that are “classics with a twist.” It even sells knitted masks to match.
Wild Meadow
This brand offers a free spirit style and comes in plus sizes. Its clothing choices are mostly casual.
Grace Karin
Grace Karin is an elegant and feminine clothing line on Amazon that is a good source for beautiful sweaters and tops but also attire for classy cocktail parties, parties, and more formal attire.
Amazon Essentials Women
Amazon Essentials sells everything from clothing to electronics but it also has a specific women’s clothing store where you will find well-made basics. If you are a Prime member, one of the perks is that there is a 7-day try-on period.
Note: If you previously shopped Goodthreads on Amazon, some of that product has moved over to Amazon Essentials.
Real Essentials
This brand is separate from Amazon Essentials and is primarily for comfortable and affordable clothes. Some items come in 3 packs so you can choose from a selection of different colors.
Below are Real Essential sweatsuit combinations that I got in 3 packs.
- 3 Pack: Women’s Relaxed Fit Fleece Open Bottom Sweatpants Pockets – Casual Athleisure (Available in Plus)
- Women’s Fleece Long-Sleeve Pullover Hoodie Active Sweatshirt Kangaroo Pocket – (Available In Plus)
These sweatsuit tops and bottoms are soft, made well, and incredibly affordable! I love that I could match them as the colors are consistent. I am 5’2″ and they fit me perfectly. I know they will get plenty of use, especially on cold mornings when I go out for my walk.
Other women’s casual Real Essential items you may want to check out include a 3 Pack Dry Fit Quarter Zip Jacket Set, Hoodie and Jogger Set, 5-Pack Short Sleeve Crew Neck Tee Shirts, and 3 Pack Athletic Lounge Shorts.

Luxury designer Fashion
If you go to Amazon and click on the tab “Luxury Stores” on your dashboard, you will find high-end fashion items that are on sale. They include fine jewelry, shoes, handbags, clothing, eyewear, belts, and more. The image above is a selection of Chanel bags I found there. Not in my budget, though. LOL
Mae Lingerie
Mae is Amazon’s in-house lingerie brand. You will find Tee-shirt bras, no-show underwear, and other basic items. Its designs are practical but still attractive.

As well as an assortment of high-end premium brands.

Jennifer says
I rarely shop for clothing on Amazon because I am concerned about where it’s coming from. If I do shop, I look for the brand name first to make sure it’s coming from the store I recognize. But it’s good to know that these labels are made in the states.
Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski says
Yes, third party brands can come from anywhere but these are US based and made.
Carol Ann Cassara says
Yes, not every company is reputable.
Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski says
Very true. I have made some fashion boo boos on there for sure. These companies are reliable.
Laurie Stone says
When I need basic tops, I shop Amazon. I find them for the most part fine, although have had a few clunkers.
Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski says
Me too but mostly it was my fault looking for the wrong style to fit my body.
