Luxear Fresh Keeper: Keeps Food, Fresher, in Your Fridge

by Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski Leave a Comment

I buy a lot of produce and love vegetables that are fresh. However, they don’t always stay that way when they are in my refrigerator. I had the opportunity to try out a Luxear Fresh Keeper which is a set of 5 containers that are designed to store vegetables and fruit as well as meat, bacon, fish, and other foods.

Each container comes with a lid that snaps on and a colander insert for drainage. If you aren’t using them, they can be stored nested together, without taking up much space.

They are safe to use in both the refrigerator and freezer and are dishwasher and microwave safe.

The lids create an airtight seal. When stored, the containers are leakproof, dustproof, and odor-proof. The set is made of 100% BPA-free PP plastic, and I was impressed at how strong and sturdy it is. You don’t have to worry about staining, scratching, and cracking either and I can tell it will last for a long time.

Another unique feature of the Luxear Fresh Keeper is that each container has a flat handle on the lid that you can use to carry it if you are taking food to a potluck, picnic or to work.

The smaller containers are perfect for storing berries that would otherwise become mushy and soggy when stored. Put the berries in the colander and place them into the container. Pour water over them to rinse them off. Then lift the colander and drain the water into the sink. Pour the water out of the container, insert the drained berries and colander into the container, snap on the lid and put it in the refrigerator.

Occasionally I had trouble snapping on a lid, but I believe it was more operator error than anything to do with the product.

I’m so excited about my Fresh Keeper set and I know I will use it constantly.
