Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X: Review

October 23, 2021 by Rebecca Forstadt-Olkowski Leave a Comment

One of the first things to go as your skin ages is its texture. So, what do you do? I have been trying out a product by Missha, which is a Korean skin care company. The product I tried is their Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X. It’s a mouthful. LOL

Missha Time Revolution

A silky solution for aging skin

Missha ferments its ingredients in a three-step process called EXTREME FERMENT α™ Method which delivers 10 active probiotic ingredients to your skin. I’m not sure what probiotics are supposed to do for your face, but I know they can be good for your body.

The product comes in a pearlized purple bottle with a dropper dispenser. The color of the serum is sort of a pinkish amber with a non-detectable scent. I prefer my skin care products to be scent-free so that is a plus.

I use about half a dropper each time I apply it. It has a long list of interesting ingredients, including alpha-hydroxy and vitamin C. Its purpose is to reduce visible signs of wrinkles and improve your skin’s elasticity while giving it a veil of moisture.

The serum feels light when I put it on and then gave my skin a silky feeling after I left it on overnight. It has been compared to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair which is much more costly.

Below are the 10 ways the product has been shown to improve aging skin.

About the probiotics

Missha’s EXTREME FERMENT α™ Method is a special process that grows yeast. After a warm fermentation and then vacuum aging at a low temperature, the yeast is extracted and filtered three times. I know, that’s super scientific but what matters is if it really works and I believe there has been some improvement in my skin’s overall texture.

My take

I love that my skin feels soft and hydrated when I wake up in the morning which is important to me because my skin is normally dry. I’m thinking of using it on the back of my hands as well because they are pretty gnarly and they can use all the help they can get.
