Glasses made to be functional like reading glasses can often be plain and ugly so when I was asked to try a pair of Eyebobs, I was excited because they have some terrific styles.
I like my glasses to be out of the ordinary. Maybe not huge and owllike like Iris Apfel, but still unique. Did you know Iris just turned 100 and is still on Instagram as a social media influencer? Eyebobs has fun but still classy styles in all sorts of shapes.
I chose a pair of Hoops red crystal readers which have a round shape and blue light blocking lenses because I spend a lot of time on my computer. Red is such a fabulous accent color and the frames fit my face which is a small oval.
They are extremely comfortable, sturdy, and well made and arrived in a pretty red case with a cleaning cloth inside. Each frame is made out of acetate. Mine pair has red frames and clear stems.
I thought the price of $89 is more than reasonable because they are high quality overall. My eyes are close-set and I was able to get my frames in a narrow size which I appreciate as most inexpensive glasses I buy in stores are too large for my face.
To find the perfect frames, Eyebobs offers an online style quiz that will filter out choices to find your perfect match. It asks you for your face size, favorite frame shape, what your morning routine is like, and other lifestyle questions to determine your activity, time on the computer, etc.
You can purchase readers, chic sunglasses, blue light lenses, and even have your prescription filled.
Eyebobs is a Minnesota-based company so if you happen to live in the area, there is a brick-and-mortar store at the Mall of America. If not, check their store locator to find partner stores if you prefer to order in person. I found two in Pasadena, California where I live.
All US orders are eligible for 2-day shipping, so you don’t have to wait for delivery. They also ship internationally which could add additional costs depending on what country you live in.
You get a 90-day risk-free return after you receive your order and they are 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
If you are reticent to order glasses online, they have a virtual try-on app on their website that lets you see what you look like in your smartphone camera.
I just had cataract surgery on both of my eyes that fixed my vision but will still need readers and sunglasses. When I’m looking for more cool styles, I will make sure to check them out again.
